Girdharbhai Sangrahalaya at Amreli has a good collection of ancient coins including punch-marked, Tribal, Janapad, Ksatrapa and Gupta coins, East India Company, the Portuguese, Queen Victoria the former princely state like Baroda, Bhavanagar, Junagadh, Kutchh, Navanagar, Porbandar in Gujarat and Jaipur, Gwalior, Indore etc in Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh during 18th and 19th centuries. It also has a Collection of a few coins of the Indian Republic.
History:-
This section has an educational display of coins dating back to the some of the enceinte Gupta period, antiques of Amreli and various coins are displayed along with the pictures of the respective Mughal emperors to make it a colourful and descriptive historical display.
