Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi – the father of the Nation was born on October 2nd, 1869. The entire nation will celebrate his 147th birth anniversary and he is also known as ‘Bapu’.

Mahatma Gandhi needs no special introduction as everyone knows everything about him. He is still quiet well-known his principles of truth and non-violence. Mahatma Gandhi was conferred the title of ‘Mahatma’ by none other than legendary Rabindranath Tagore.

Gandhiji was a devoted seeker of Truth, and his advised was to find the truth. In addition he was also practiced for the development of indigenous technology which can bring experience and skill among the community members.

The national and international communities have prepared the Global Goals to transferring our world with the plan of action for people, planet and prosperity, which are the reflection of the thought and action of Mahatma Gandhi that seeks to strengthen universal peace in larger freedom.

As a follower of sustainable development practices, he visualizes the importance of basic needs and expressed that the Earth has enough for everyone’s need, but not for anyone’s greeds.

On this auspicious day let’s take a promise to practice the Gandhian principle of simple living and to contribute for the sustainable development for a future for all.
